Trees Forever came to the Lacey Recreation Complex in the cool Saturday morning to follow up on a 6 year old tree planting project.
Several members of the Trees Forever Club in Oskaloosa pruned or removed over 50 trees. Young Caleb Gipple was among the volunteers, carrying away brush and learning from experienced arborists.Dr H. Craig Coen, long time trees forever member, stated “I was a part of the original planting. What year was that?” MCRF has the original plant date in October of 2007. Planting projects such as these are a valued and thanks to clubs like Trees Forever are healthy additions to our community.
