Statesmen Third at State Event

Des Moines–The William Penn dance team had a successful showing at the Iowa State Dance Team Competition last Friday.
The Statesmen placed third out of seven teams in the HH NAIA division. A total of 23 colleges and 278 high school dance and color guard teams from within the state were in competition. The event was held at Wells Fargo Arena and Hy-Vee Hall.
“Our team competed very well and brought excitement and energy to the first competition of the year,” Head Coach Lisa Conner said.
