Letter To The Editor: Supports Scottie Moore For City Council

I am writing this letter in support of Scottie Moore who is running for re-election to the Oskaloosa City Council. It was my honor and privilege to work with Scottie at Oskaloosa High School. Scottie is a perfectly balanced mix of strength and compassion. Anyone who has observed her in the classroom, as I have, would see her ability to listen and offer support. But she isn’t the type of person who will automatically agree with what is said; instead, she ‘tells it like it is.’ Scottie has a great depth of integrity and honesty. She is a hard worker who researches the issues and then comes to her own conclusions. Our City Council has been fortunate to have her as a member.

Voting for candidates based on a single issue is not in the best interests of our city. We need people are interested in the big picture; whose interests are balanced, broad, and fair. For all of the above reasons, I would ask Oskaloosa voters to vote for Scottie Moore for City Council.
