Day Of Caring 2013 Announced

United Way of Mahaska County

The United Way of Mahaska County announces their 6th annual Day of Caring, September 12, 2013.

Day of Caring brings together groups, whether social or through workplaces, to spend part of a day volunteering in the community. We do projects like painting an elderly person’s home, cleaning a city park, or volunteering at a local non-profit. This year’s event will be two days before the Iowa/Iowa State football game so we’re making our theme “A House Divided; Live United”. We’re encouraging everyone to wear their team’s gear and try to spark some friendly competition!
