Sandra Kay Moody, 54, of Oskaloosa, died at her home in Oskaloosa. She was born February 11, 1959, in Oskaloosa, the daughter of Robert Laverne and Shirley Ann Smith Moody. While in high school Sandra started working for local nursing homes. She graduated from Oskaloosa High School with the class of 1977. Following graduation she continued to work at area nursing homes until ill health forced her retirement in early 2000’s. Early on she enjoyed going to the races and on bus trips. She also enjoyed crocheting.

Her family includes her brother and his wife, Ken and Jeanne Moody of Oskaloosa; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A graveside memorial service will be held Thursday, June 6, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the Beacon Cemetery west of Beacon with Pastor David Brown officiating.
A procession will form at the Bates Funeral Chapel at 1:25 Thursday afternoon for those wishing to attend the ceremony.
As was her wish her body has been cremated and no visitation is planned. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
A memorial has been established in her name.
