Oskaloosa, Iowa – 2013 will be the 10th year for Friday After Five in Oskaloosa. This year the event is scheduled for five Fridays from May 31 through June 28th. Friday After Five is held from 5 – 8 pm on the east side of the Oskaloosa square. Food and drinks are available. The cost to get into the beverage garden area is $5.00 and you must be at least 21 years of age. Many families choose to bring their lawn chairs and sit in the city park and listen to the bands perform for free.

Friday May 31 – Small Town Super Heroes
Year 10 kicks off with one of the most popular bands in Central Iowa! This year will be the fifth time this band has played at Friday After Five. Small Town Superheroes consists of Amy Howe, Tim DeJong, Terry DeJong, Bob Edwards and John Hoekstra. Expect to hear some great Rock and Roll tunes from this exciting group. Mr. Taco will be the food vendor.
Friday June 7 – Gimikk
Week two will be the fifth time that Gimikk has played Friday After Five. Gimikk has been performing in the Des Moines and Central Iowa area for 10 years and with their high-energy performance and amazing music skills, they have been dubbed as “The Best Party Band in Des Moines.” Hy-Vee will be the food vendor.
Friday June 14 – Fatal Addiction
2013 will also be the fifth year in a row that Fatal Addiction has rocked the Friday After Five stage. Band members include Jake VanDerPol, Tim VanDerPol, Zeke Howell and Jake Edmundson. This band delivers great rock and roll and has been a favorite in Oskaloosa since they made their Friday After Five debut in 2009. Mahaska County Cattleman will be the food vendor.
Friday June 21 – Abby Normal
Making their debut performance at Friday After Five is the band Abby Normal. Based out of Des Moines, Abby Normal is a four piece band with both male and female vocals. They play timeless rock songs from the likes of Blondie, Joan Jett, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty and more, as well as current hits. This band is one you will not want to miss! Hy-Vee will be the food vendor.
Friday June 28th – Sons of Gladys Kravitz
This will be the first time at Friday After Five for this Des Moines based band. The Sons of Gladys Kravitz specialize in performing the very best music of the last 40 years, with renditions of classic songs from artists ranging from the Allman Brothers to ZZ Top and many more in between. Breadeaux Pizza will be the food vendor.
