Get a sack, fill it up with whatever you can and it’s all yours. Mahaska County Outreach is sponsoring the sack sale this Friday, April 26. It’s only seven dollars a sack with all the money from the sale going to the “Agency for Aging.”

All are welcome to come in, get a sack and fill it with whatever you want except jewelry and a few other items that are excluded from the sale. Mahaska County Outreach president, Paul Groenenboom said the sack sale is a, “Great way of reinvesting in the community.”

Mahaska County Outreach Thrift Store director Alice Moore wants the public to know there is a lot of “new quality merchandise to offer the community. You can get a lot of good stuff and it’s only seven dollars and it’s all going to a good cause.”

Once a month, the Mahaska County Outreach sponsors a sack sale to support local non-profit organizations. The organization’s board is looking for nominations and suggestions from the community for other worthy organizations to benefit from the monthly event.

The Thrift Store is open Monday through Friday until 5 and Saturday until 3. The store is located on 114 N. First St. in Oskaloosa.
