Rasul, Spielbauer Named Scholar-Athletes

Oskaloosa–Two William Penn men’s basketball players are performing well in the classroom and for their efforts they were named 2012-2013 Daktronics-NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball Scholar-Athletes.

Davis Spielbauer (Sr., Wapello, Iowa, Physical Education), with his second accolade, and Arman Rasul (Sr., Chicago, Ill., Sociology), for the first time, were both honored as a total of 134 Division II cagers were awarded the laurel. Both individuals own Grade Point Averages of 3.87.

To be eligible for the award, athletes must be of at least junior academic standing, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale, and have attended the nominating institution for at least one full academic year.
