MAHASKA COUNTY – Do you want to hear all of the latest updates taking place in Mahaska Health Partnership’s new Birthing Center? You can by joining the Stork Report!

The Stork Report keeps participants informed of the progress on the new Birthing Center in the same way a mother would receive updates about her pregnancy. Every four weeks, participants receive expert information from MHP obstetrics providers including OB/GYN Jeffrey Fowler, DO; and Family Practice Physicians Leigh Gilburn, DO; Ed Hirl, MD; Stephen Mineart, MD, and Shawn Richmond, MD, along with a construction update.

“Those who join the Stork Report email list will learn exclusive information about our Birthing Center as it relates to a pregnancy over a nine month period,” Dr. Fowler said. “As an added bonus, each participant will also receive a free gift and an invitation to a special reception when the Patient Care Wing is complete.”

The new Birthing Center is part of MHP’s new Patient Care Wing and will feature five birthing suites complete with guest accommodations. Features include whirlpool tubs and personal refrigerators in addition to the amenities our patients currently enjoy, such as room service dining and free wifi. Whether you’re expecting or just want to know more, join the Stork Report to stay informed of progress on MHP’s new Birthing Center.

”The new birthing center is anticipated to open this fall,” Dr. Fowler said. “I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to care for my patients in a state-of-the art facility that offers all of the comforts of home and more.”
