Osky School Board meets in regular session

Oskaloosa School Administration

The Oskaloosa School board met Thursday in regular session with Board President Don Patterson calling the meeting to order at 7:30 pm. All members except for Don Patterson were present. In regular session, the board:

• Heard an update report on the District Leadership Team
• Heard a report on the Professional Learning Communities
• Heard a presentation from the high school Pheasants Forever Chapter
• Approved a bid invitation letter to Piper-Jaffray company
• Approved  a financial advisory agreement with Piper-Jaffray company
• Approved the allowable growth standard for the Special Education Programs
• Approved the request from the High School Orchestra and Choir for an out of state trip to Chicago
• Approved the intent to retire from Ann Mattix and Deb Schumacher
• Went into closed session under Iowa Code section 21.5.c to discuss matters where litigation may be pending

The Board will meet again on December 14th, 2010 at 7:30 pm in the George Daily Board Room.
