Three Win at Grand View Open

Des Moines–While most of its members rested up for the stretch run, the Statesmen wrestling team had just four grapplers in action at the Grand View Open Saturday.
Facing a large number of NCAA Division I grapplers as well as the NAIA’s top-ranked Vikings, three members in the navy and gold were victorious.
149-pounder Marshawn Lacy (So., Chicago Heights, Ill., Computer Science), 165-pounder Robert Pohlman (So., Tinley Park, Ill., Secondary Education), and heavyweight David Jones (Fr., Bryan, Texas, Industrial Technology) all earned one win by decision.
Next: William Penn travels to Sioux City next Saturday to compete in the Briar Cliff Open.
