Letter To The Editor: Tom brings tremendous experience to this role

We’ve known Tom Rielly for many years and whole heartedly support his run for County Supervisor.

Tom brings tremendous experience to this role.  Many years ago, as Mayor, he met several of the city’s challenges and worked for the benefit of Oskaloosa by working directly with the Supervisors and other government officials to get things done.

In the Statehouse, Tom took those skills and used them to work with representatives on both sides of the aisle (how refreshing is that?) to improve the services the state provides while watching the tax dollars that he had to work with.

While Tom has worked on a variety of projects in a variety of political environments, in our view, his work on the Transportation committee offers the citizens of Mahaska County someone with key experience and knowledge about projects that are particularly important to us right now.  The highway 63 project, the new airport development, and the ongoing road maintenance and development in our county will benefit greatly from this experience.
