Letter To The Editor: Mark Doland has the leadership qualities

In the special election for Mahaska County Supervisor January 29th, I believe that the choice is clear. I will be casting my vote for Mark Doland.
Mark Doland has the leadership qualities that it takes to make our county run smoothly. Mark listens and shows compassion for those who he is working with. This is a refreshing rarity that has been absent from our elected officials for a long time.
I have also got the chance to know Mark Doland as a minister. Our family attended the church where he serves when we lived in University Park. I have witnessed first hand his love for the poor, those going through trials, those with intellectual disabilities, veterans, and many more. As an illustration of his family’s way of giving back; they are currently in the process of looking into adopting a sibling group that they can keep together so the siblings do not have to be separated. This example restores hope in people as the culture continues to decline.
My time serving on the city council in New Sharon has opened my eyes to the need for more people to serve with the qualifications that Mark Doland possesses. I ask you to join me in supporting Mark Doland as our next County Supervisor.
