Identity Of Deceased Male Released

Oskaloosa Police and paramedics respond to the scene of a deceased person on Tuesday morning.

Oskaloosa, Iowa – On the 11th day of December, 2012 at approximately 8:37 A.M. the Oskaloosa Police Department was dispatched to the east/west alley located in the 100 block of South Market street in Oskaloosa in regards to a deceased person.

Construction workers arrived in the area and located a deceased male in the alley. The male was later identified as Randall Ray Roorda, age 53, of Oskaloosa.

The investigation is continuing but no foul play is suspected. Roorda was transported to the state medical examiner’s office in Des Moines for an autopsy.
