Terry Eugene Knight, 53, of Oskaloosa, died Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at his home. He was born September 19, 1959 at Ottumwa, the son of Larry J. and Sandra Agee Knight. He attended high school in Vancouver, Washington. He worked construction and had been a semi-truck driver, and lastly worked at Cargill Meat Solutions in Ottumwa. On August 25, 1995, he was married to Elaine DeJong at Eddyville. Terry enjoyed fishing; watching drag racing; watching Iowa Hawkeye football; and walking his dogs. He attended Central Reformed Church and was active in the Alpha Men’s Bible Group; and a member of Alcoholics Anonymous.

His family includes his wife, Elaine Knight of Oskaloosa; a son, Christopher Knight of Vancouver, Washington; his mother: Sandra Knight of Temecula, California; a sister and her husband, Lavonne and Todd Brenner of Temecula, California; a brother: Robert Knight of Newport, Washington; maternal grandparents: Emmett and Esther Agee of Ottumwa; and many nephews and nieces including a very special niece, Melinda Davis of Pensacola, Florida.

Terry was preceded in death by his father; his paternal grandparents: Joseph and Clara Knight; his maternal grandmother: Helen Troxel; and a brother, Raymond R. Knight.

As was his wish, he has been cremated. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, December 10, 2012 at 7 p.m. in the Central Reformed Church in Oskaloosa with the Reverend Don DeGlopper officiating. Memorials may be made to Stephens Memorial Animal Shelter. Arrangements are by the Bates Funeral Chapel, Oskaloosa.
