Oskaloosa VolleyBall Season Ends Just Short Of State Tourney

The #15 Oskaloosa volleyball team fell short of making the State Tournament on Tuesday night against #6 Solon 11-25, 25-23, 11-25, 18-25. This concludes the 2012 season for Oskaloosa, at 19-17, a #15 ranking, and a Little Hawkeye Championship. For the Indians against Solon, Kate Hasselman led the team with 10 kills, Taylor Crawford had 6, Shawni Wills had 4, and Kailyn Risher had 4. From the service line, Crawford was 17 of 17 with 1 ace serve. Wills added the other ace serve for the team. Allie Christenson led the offense with 24 assists. Kena Veldhuizen had 14 digs, Christenson had 7, and Hasselman had 5 for the defense. At the net, Hunter Shaull had 4 of the 8 team blocks.

The Oskaloosa volleyball team and coaching staff would like to thank everyone for their support this season, especially the fans making the trip to Victor – you were awesome!
