GRINNELL’S WEBER NAMED MWC FOOTBALL OFFENSIVE PERFORMER OF THE WEEK

GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College’s Cody Weber ’13 has been named the Midwest Conference Football Offensive Performer of the Week.

Weber, a 6-0, 195-pound wide receiver from Pullman, Wash. (Pullman), had an astounding 15 catches and scored two touchdowns as the Pioneers posted a convincing 21-7 victory over MWC preseason favorite Monmouth College on Saturday.

He finished with a game-high 165 receiving yards and, as of last week, ranked fifth nationally in receptions per game and 12th in receiving yards a contest.

The MWC Defensive Performer of the Week is John Zank of Carroll University, while St. Norbert College’s Randy Hill was named Special Teams Performer of the Week.
