Wise Eclipses 300-Win Mark, 100th at William Penn

William Penn University Athletics

Oskaloosa–Earlier this fall, William Penn volleyball coach Jeremy Wise was inducted into a prestigious group–the 300-Win Club.

Wise, who is in his fifth year as the Lady Statesmen skipper, currently owns a career mark of 314-261. That tally includes a 201-174 record in ten years at Urbana University (Ohio) and a 113-87 record in four-plus seasons at William Penn.

He picked Win #300 against Macalester (Minn.) on September 1, while his 100th victory at William Penn came four days later versus Loras.

Entering this fall, Wise has produced nine winning campaigns, including a high of 37 victories in 2005. At Urbana, he turned around a program that had never had a winning season and was coming off a four-win year in 1997. Since coming to William Penn, he has guided one squad, the 2008 team, to a conference title and an appearance in the NAIA National Championships Opening Round.
