GRINNELL’S FISHER NAMED MWC FOOTBALL SPECIAL TEAMS PERFORMER OF THE WEEK

Grinnell College Athletics

GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College’s Graham Fisher ’16 has been named the Midwest Conference Football Special Teams Performer of the Week.

Fisher, a 6-4, 233-pound kicker/punter from Palo Alto, Calif. (Gunn Senior High), booted a 50-yard field goal – just 5 yards shy of the school record – as the Pioneers collected their first victory of the season with a 13-7 decision at Beloit College.

His field goal came in the first period and helped the Pioneers snap a six-game losing streak dating back to last season. He also punted four times for a 39.0-yard average.

The MWC Offensive Performer of the Week is Monmouth College’s Trey Yocum, while the Defensive Performer of the Week is Anthony Parker of St. Norbert College.
