GRINNELL’S PLEMMONS NAMED MWC WOMEN’S GOLF PERFORMER OF THE WEEK

GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College’s Alex Plemmons ’15 (Grosse Ile, Mich./Grosse Ile) has been named the Midwest Conference Women’s Golf Performer of the Week.

Plemmons tied for runner-up honors while leading Grinnell to the team title at the Central College Fall Invitational in Pella Friday and Saturday. It was the Pioneers’ second tournament title in the program’s 18-year history.

Plemmons followed Friday’s round of 86 up with an 82 for a 168 in the 42-golfer field. The Pioneers, who trailed the host school by four shots after Friday’s action, rallied to beat the Dutch 691-696.
