NOTICE OF CONSTRUCTION NORTH GREEN STREET CONSTRUCTION PROJECT
Dear Residents:
This letter is to inform you that street construction activity will begin the morning of July 23, 2012, weather permitting, on North Green Street, from M Avenue West to 1300 feet north of 238th Street. The scope of the North Green Street paving project includes new concrete pavement, driveways, curb and gutter with intakes, storm drains, sidewalks, and water main relocations. The anticipated street construction activity is 75 working business days.
The street construction activity on Green Street will begin with street closure near 2384 Laveen Avenue. Local residents will continue to have direct access to their homes during the first 3-4 weeks of the project. However, Green Street will then be completely closed for approximately 3 months during street construction activity. Please be aware that construction dates are subject to change due to weather conditions. Several temporary gravel parking areas and garbage containers will be provided during street closure (see map on reverse side). You can park your vehicles on these temporary parking areas and walk to your properties. Temporary mailboxes will be setup on the city parking lot located at the baseball field (see map). Please be on the lookout for construction workers and use caution when entering an area designated as a “construction zone.”
The City regrets any inconvenience this may cause. Please direct all questions, concerns, or complaints directly to Akhilesh Pal, Oskaloosa Public Works Director, at 641-673-7472.
