Helen Lucille Kielkopf, 94, of Ottumwa, formerly of Hedrick, died Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at the Hospice House in Ottumwa.

Helen was born Monday, April 8, 1918 in Highland Center, Iowa, the daughter of Norton and Rennie Bottorff Davis. She graduated from Hedrick High School with the class of 1936. On September 1, 1937 she was united in marriage to Frederick “Edwin” Kielkopf at Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. He died February 22, 2003. They farmed together their entire married life on their century farm west of Hedrick. She was a member of the Hedrick-Martinsburg United Methodist Church and a former member of the Eastern Star.

Helen’s family includes her daughter: Renne Kay (& Ray) Robbins of Cedar Rapids; two granddaughters: Susan (& Kenneth) Gail of Cedar Rapids and Jennifer Robbins of Thornton, Colorado; 2 great grandchildren: Tyler and Brittany Gail; a sister: Ruth Green of Ottumwa; a niece and 2 nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a sister: Dorothy Arendt; and a niece: Rella Arendt Pilkington.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at the Fremont Funeral Chapel in Fremont, Iowa with Reverend Bill Hornback officiating. Burial will be in Brooks Cemetery near Hedrick, Iowa. Visitation will begin Friday after 1:00 P.M. at the Fremont Funeral Chapel with the family present at the funeral chapel from 4 – 6 P.M. to greet friends and relatives. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Wapello County or the Hedrick-Martinsburg United Methodist Church.

Visitation: opens after 1:00 p.m. with the family present from 4 – 6 p.m. July 20, 2012 at Fremont Funeral Chapel
Funeral Service: 10:30 A.M. July 21, 2012 at Fremont Funeral Chapel
Interment: Brooks Cemetery near Hedrick, Iowa.
