High School Softball Classic at the Lacey Recreation Complex

Oskaloosa, Iowa – Spectators gathered at the 5-plex ball diamonds at Lacey to watch the 17 team Oskaloosa Indian Classic Tournament on Saturday June 16th. Osky varsity team ended the tournament with a win in the first game against PCM with a score of 3 to 2. Osky’s second game, played against Centerville, ended in the ninth inning as lightning stopped the tournament. The score at the time was tied 2 to 2. The Oskaloosa 9th JV team played Creston in game 1 but were also stopped with lightning before their games were over. “It was still a great day for ball at the complex, if a little warm, and we needed the rain!” said Sherry Vavra of MCRF.
