One Nation Under God

How much intelligence is there in the world? God has programmed the world we live in with microcosms of intelligence everywhere. Scholars of all disciplines have researched their areas of expertise only to find an endless stream of intelligence. For example, when scientists looked inside the cell and found what they thought to be the end of the scope of matter, they discovered a whole new era of research with DNA.

Anyone who claims to have complete knowledge over their discipline is arrogant to say the least. When we think in terms of creation and existence, only God has all knowledge. Of all of the intelligence that is available compared to man’s ability to study, ponder, and retain knowledge there is a vast gulf that spans as far as the east is from the west.

In spiritual matters, God communicates to His creation through the Bible. The inspired writer Paul records, “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17). God gives us everything that we need for our training in righteousness through His Word. One may have complete instruction in righteousness and be equipped for every good work.

John writes, ” These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life” (1 John 5:13). John wrote so that you may know that you have eternal life. Only you know if you have eternal life. Not your friends, not your family, not even your spouse or your minister has insight to this. You see, many claim to have a special insight to man’s final destiny when they leave the earth. I have heard with great certainty that so and so made it to heaven or hell preached and talked about. The truth of the matter is, God is the final judge. It is not man’s place someone in heaven or hell. It is our place to preach the Gospel and teach what one must do to get to heaven. The rest is between the individual and God.
