Noon Kiwanis Adopts a Mile of Trail

Volunteers helps clean up the recreation trail on Saturday

Oskaloosa, Iowa – A dozen noon Kiwanis members met on Saturday to clean a portion of the Lacey Recreation Trail. Eric Palmer contacted MCRF to let them know that the Kiwanis club would like to adopt a mile. The club organized a clean up day and cleaned from the snow dump to the 92 underpass, including the recently developed portion of trail leading to the new gazebo. The club members cleaned trash from the trial and along the trail in the creek by the underpass. “This is a good project,” stated one member of the clean up crew as MCRF was thanking them for volunteering. Several clubs and families have adopted miles this year but new volunteers are always welcome.
