Oskaloosa–The Lady Statesmen softball team continues to move up the national ladder as the fourth NAIA poll was released Tuesday.

William Penn (28-11, 11-1 MCC), winners of 13 straight, improved four positions to 34th (16 points). The squad is still the lone representative from both the Midwest Collegiate Conference and the state of Iowa.

Concordia (Calif.) is again at the top of the rating, strengthening its hold with 591 points and 20 first-place votes. Cal State-San Marcos, with the other first-place vote, is second. Oklahoma City is third and Central Baptist (Ark.) is fourth, while Oregon Tech returns to the top five in fifth.

William Penn travels to Dubuque Wednesday to face Clarke in an MCC doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m.
