Shane Moore signed a letter of intent to attend William Penn University where he will be involved in bands along with vocal and drama departments

Shane Moore signed a Letter of Intent to attend William Penn University in the fall and participate with the marching and pep bands, under the direction of Terry DeJong. Shane, the son of Dr. Doug and Betty Moore currently attends Oskaloosa High School where he will graduate this spring.

Shane has been very active and successful in all of the fine arts throughout his Jr and Sr high years participating in Concert, Jazz, Marching and Pep bands, Choir and Theater. He has been a section leader in the marching band and a member of the student council. He plans to continue being involved in the bands, vocal ensembles and drama dept here at WPU, which he is receiving scholarships in all three of those areas.

“I am very pleased to have Shane join our programs in the Athletic Bands this fall.” DeJong said, I’ve watched him go through the Oskaloosa programs for many years and admire his great attitude, dedication and passion for the bands and the other fine arts programs. He is a great example of the type of student we need in our programs to grow and reach the quality we are striving for. I believe I can speak for the rest of the faculty in the fine arts, that they too are very pleased to have Shane involved in their music ensembles and drama productions.”
