Gabe Gets Ninth Career AOW

Oskaloosa–Gabriel Green (Jr., Anniston, Ala., Anniston HS) surprised few when he won both events he entered last Saturday and for his efforts he was named Midwest Collegiate Conference Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.

Green, a four-time honoree this year (nine for career), won both the 100 and 200-meter dash events at the Central Invitational.

The junior took the 100 in an NAIA automatic-qualifying time of 10.65 seconds. He has now qualified for the 100 all three years of his collegiate career. Green also finished first in the 200 with a time of 21.87 seconds.

Green currently ranks eighth in the nation in the 100.

The award is the fourth for the track and field program this year.
