MAHASKA COUNTY – Linda Lanphier had her blood drawn at Mahaska Health Partnership’s annual Community Cholesterol Screenings on Tues, Feb. 14. Lanphier said this was her first time at the event, “My insurance doesn’t cover having my cholesterol checked because I don’t have any pre-existing conditions.” Lanphier was grateful for the reduced rate screening and encouraged others to take advantage. The Community Cholesterol Screenings will be offered again tomorrow, Wed, Feb. 15, on the MHP campus from 6 to 9 am in the Education Center, entrance #2.
