Eddyville volleyball wins conference

Eddyville-Blakesburg Schools

The Eddyville high school volleyball team defeated Chariton to win their conference this evening and go undefeated in the conference. In their regular season, the team has gone 17-11 this year. Coach Gladys Genskow commented on her teams performance “Great conference win to be undefeated in the SCC conference again. Last year we were last in the conference and our goal was to get back to the top again in 2010 and we met that goal. Very aggressive serving tonight gave Chariton a tough time passing. Our passing was inconsistent and we struggled with our offensive attack, but we blocked and our transition game was very well tonight. We will continue to keep that focus on improving the passing game.”

The team will play again this Thursday at Washington.
