Eddyville Volleyball team competes at Ottumwa Tourney

Eddyville-Blakesburg Schools

The Eddyville Blakesburg  volleyball team competed Saturday at the Ottumwa Tourney. The team won 2 of 3 against Fairfield, 2 of 2 against Centerville, 0 of 2 against Burlington, 0 of 2 against Ottumwa. Coach Gladys Genscow comment on the tournament “We started off strong in the first match against Fairfield passing well and executing our offense. As the day progressed, we lost the intensity & consistancy needed to pass sucessful contributing to our losses. The girls play well against a strong and quick Ottumwa team. It was good to see we can compete at that level. We will continue to work on our passing game and look forward to our next conference match Tuesday night against Davis County at home”

The team will compete again on Tuesday Night against Davis County.
