Possible Presidential candidate Michele Bachmann made one of her two stops, for The Family Leader, in Pella on April 11th. The second stop was in Iowa City later in the afternoon.

Bachmann, representing the 6th District of Minnesota, was first elected to the office in 2006. Her first Congress was the 110th. Bachmann is also the founder of the House Tea Party Caucus and is a supporter of the Tea Party movement.

The Family Leader is an Iowa based organization that describes themselves as,”The Family Leader is a Christ-centered organization that will lead with humility and service to strengthen and protect the family.” The Family Leader has been recruiting potential candidates to come and speak on matters of interest to the organization.

The order of these guest speakers was: first, Tim Pawlenty in February; second, Ron Paul in March; third,and most recently, Michele Bachmann who appeared on April 11th, 2011. The potential candidates made their appearances and spoke at Vermeer Auditorium, located at the Pella Christian High School.

The next upcoming guest will be Senator Rick Santorum on May 2nd, 2011 at Vermeer Auditorium.
