The  presidential candidates will be making even more rounds soon to see what type of support they may have. Most of them have committees and have hired political advisers to help them determine if they have a possibility of advancing to the next level in politics.

All of the nations eyes are upon us, and the spotlight will only get brighter as time goes on until the first part of next year when Iowa holds the first in the nation caucus.

To help our political writers understand how local residents feel on certain candidates, we started this unscientific opinion poll to see what candidates are preferred at this early stage, compared to later.

For an added spin, We placed each candidate in a head to head vs President Obama. Expect a few of these in the coming year, but it will give us a picture of how the political winds have blown during the lead up to caucus night, and then finally to election night 2012.
