Soccer Stars Sweep First Player of the Month Awards

Oskaloosa–The William Penn University Athletics Booster Club has announced its August-September Players of the Month.

Men’s soccer player Sil Milder (Fr., Arnhem, Netherlands, Sports Management) earned the male honor, while women’s soccer player Sian Bah (Sr., London, England, Political Science) was selected as the female recipient. The award is the first for both individuals.

Milder owned a 0.56 Goals Against Average over the span of nine games (4-0-5 record). He tallied 23 saves and posted six shutouts, finishing the month of September with four consecutive shutouts. The freshman, who had at least one save in all nine contests, tallied a high of five stops against Park on September 26.

Bah scored six times en route to her team finishing with a 5-3-1 record. The start of her senior campaign included four games with a goal, headlined by braces (two goals) versus Dordt on August 31 and St. Ambrose on September 16. Three of her scores were unassisted.
