Mahaska Health New Sharon Clinic is expanding services and availability, providing patients with greater access to family medicine, medical weight loss, and specialty care in New Sharon.

New and expanded services include cardiology, medical weight loss, sleep medicine, and neurology. The clinic has expanded its Wednesday hours and is now open throughout the day, increasing appointment availability for patients.

Leah Bruxvoort, MSN, ARNP, has joined Gayle Johnson, ARNP, at the New Sharon Clinic as a family medicine provider, seeing patients Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. She provides care for patients of all ages. Leah Bruxvoort has 14 years of experience in family practice and occupational medicine and has strong ties to the New Sharon community, where she lives with her husband, a local farmer, and their five children.

On Wednesdays, Tara Stout, DNP, ARNP-BC, provides family medicine and medical weight loss services in New Sharon, including individualized weight management, education, support, and ongoing follow-up. Tara Stout will continue seeing patients at the Mahaska Health main campus in Oskaloosa, in addition to her Wednesday availability in New Sharon.

Specialty care is also expanding at the clinic. Ryan Young, PA-C, provides cardiology services on the third Wednesday of the month while Kelley Dawley, DNP, NP-C, AGPCNP, provides sleep medicine and neurology services on the first Wednesday afternoon of each month.

“Expanding services in New Sharon gives our patients more options for receiving the care they need,” shared Mahaska Health provider Leah Bruxvoort. “We’re happy to be here and look forward to continuing to serve this community.”

The expanded services support Mahaska Health’s commitment to providing convenient, high-quality care throughout Mahaska County and surrounding communities.
