NO. 1 WARRIORS TAKE SHARE OF TEAM TITLE IN OKLAHOMA

Enid, OK – The No. 1 nationally ranked Indian Hills Men’s Golf squad brought home a share of the team title at the Oakwood Intercollegiate at the Oakwood Country Club on Tuesday. The Warriors finished the two-day, 54-hole event with a 3-over, 855.
The Warriors secured a tie atop the leaderboard with No. 5 ranked McLennan Community College (TX) after the two squads traded back-and-forth leads on the final day of competition Tuesday. The Warriors, who have now won or tied three separate events this year, fired round scores of 286-280-289-855 (+3) to finish nine strokes ahead of No. 7 nationally ranked Hutchinson Community College (KS).
Indian Hills and McLennan were the lone teams in the 18-team field to fire round scores below par throughout the duration of the three rounds.
In addition to the Warriors’ top team score, Indian Hills added a fifth-place showing with its second group competing during the event. The second Warrior squad managed to shoot a 30-over, 882 to finish ahead of squads such as No. 11 ranked Garden City Community College (KS), No. 14 ranked Iowa Western Community College, and No. 18 ranked New Mexico Military College.
With all 10 members of the squad in action this week, the Warriors’ top squad was led by sophomore Nathan Pouchoulon (Aix-en-Provence, France/Lycée Georges Duby) who fired a 1-under, 212 to finish in a tie for fourth-place overall. Pouchoulon fired back-to-back rounds under par to close out the event and climb four spots on the final day of competition for his fourth top-10 finish of the year.
Sophomore Charlie Preston (Hampshire, United Kingdom/The Sixth Form College Farnborough) and freshman Harry McArdle (Burren, Ireland/St. Colman’s College) tied for sixth overall for the Warriors with an even round, 213. Preston delivered a 3-under par in the second round while McArdle tallied back-to-back rounds under par to open the event for the top-10 individual finishes.
Freddie Surgey (Weybridge, England/Cobham Free School) who joined the team for the spring term, tied for 14th overall with a 5-over while freshman Miles Bollinger (Eagan, MN/Cretin-Derham Hall) climbed eight spots to tie for 17th overall.
Jack Collingswood (North Berwick, Scotland/North Berwick), making his season debut, was one of 16 individuals to score an eagle during the event alongside teammates Jedd Thomas (Sydney, Australia/St. Paul’s Catholic), and Roman Roth (Wayland, IA/Washington). Collingswood also led the 106-player field with 38 pars.
Pouchoulon led the entire field with 14 birdies on the week, including six total on the final round of competition to earn a top-five finish for the Warriors.
