Leah Bruxvoort Joins Mahaska Health Occupational Health Team

Mahaska Health is pleased to welcome Leah Bruxvoort, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, to its Occupational Health team. Leah Bruxvoort is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with over 12 years of clinical experience, bringing a strong background in occupational health, walk-in care, and urgent care to support patients and families. Having been born at Mahaska Health and being a life-long local resident of New Sharon, Leah is excited to be serving her home community.

Leah Bruxvoort earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Clarkson College. She specializes in comprehensive occupational health services, including DOT exams, injury care, respiratory evaluations, and workplace wellness support. She is skilled in orthopaedic injuries, patient education, and collaborative care, working closely with medical providers, legal partners, insurance teams, and employers to support coordinated care. Leah has also served patients across rural and occupational health settings, including high-risk perinatal care and family medicine. Her approach centers on active listening and meaningful patient engagement, ensuring each patient feels heard and cared for both mentally and physically.
