Oskaloosa Boys Golf Wraps Busy Week with 11th Place Finish at The Preserve

Moravia, Iowa — The Oskaloosa boys golf team closed out a demanding stretch of competition with an 11th-place finish out of 19 teams Friday at The Preserve Golf Course. Despite a grueling week, the Indians put together a solid showing while identifying areas to clean up ahead of their next tournament.

Linus Morrison led Oskaloosa, capping his round with a birdie to finish at 79 (+7), good for a tie for 18th place individually. Jaden DeRonde followed with a steady 81, including an impressive 39 on the back nine. Marshall Seibert added an 85 to the team total, while Griffin Snitker contributed the fourth scoring round. Snitker’s day was impacted by an early blow-up hole, but he battled to post a counting score. Maddux Ashman also fought through an injury and showed resilience with a stronger finish on the back side.

The Oskaloosa varsity team will now get a much-needed break before returning to action Tuesday for their only tournament of the week — a home event where they aim to come back refreshed and ready to compete.

Meanwhile, the junior varsity squad will be back on course Monday at Pella and will join the varsity at the home invite on Tuesday.
