Oskaloosa Boys Golf Takes Second at Williamsburg Invitational

Williamsburg, Iowa — The Oskaloosa boys golf team posted a strong showing on Tuesday, finishing second out of nine teams at the Williamsburg Invitational. The Indians showed improvement over previous outings, despite battling penalties and some early mistakes.

Linus Morrison led the way for Oskaloosa, tying for third place individually with a round of 79 (+8). Griffin Snitker also earned a medal with a score of 80, tying for fifth overall. Marshall Seibert turned in an 83, while Tate Peterson contributed an 88 to the team total. Jaden DeRonde rounded out the scoring with an 89. Maddux Ashman struggled on the front nine but recovered with a much stronger performance after the turn.

As a team, Oskaloosa made noticeable progress and looks to build on the momentum heading into their next competition. The varsity squad will return to action Friday at The Preserve, aiming to continue lowering scores and sharpening their play as postseason approaches.
