Grinnell Volleyball Falls to Wartburg in Four-Set Battle

On September 24, 2024, the Grinnell College women’s volleyball team faced off against Wartburg at Levick Arena, ultimately falling 3-1 in a closely contested match. Despite Grinnell’s strong efforts, Wartburg secured the victory with set scores of 25-17, 24-26, 25-15, and 25-17.

For Grinnell, standout performances came from Jenna Keller, who recorded 14 kills and a .574 hitting percentage, and Hayley Taka, who added 10 assists and 10 digs. Keller was a key player throughout the match, consistently delivering kills and helping Grinnell take the second set. The team’s defense was bolstered by Sophie Weber, who notched 24 digs.

Wartburg, however, proved to be the more consistent team, led by Emerson Kracht with 21 assists and Allison Feigenbaum, who added 18 kills. Wartburg’s attack efficiency, particularly in the third and fourth sets, allowed them to dominate the latter half of the match.

Grinnell’s record now stands at 9-4, while Wartburg improved to 11-5.
