The Oskaloosa boys varsity golf team faced a challenging field at Blue Top Ridge golf course on Monday, April 29. Coach Brett Doud noted that the team “competed against not only tough competition but one of the most challenging treks of the year.” Despite these challenges, the team managed to secure 7th place out of 11 teams, with a total score of 335.

Senior Ryan Carriker led the team with a standout performance, scoring a solid 78 (par 72), while fellow senior John Terpstra followed closely with an 81.

Reflecting on the team’s efforts, Coach Doud acknowledged the challenges faced and expressed optimism as they prepare for their final conference meet at Newton. “The varsity team will be back in action on Monday at Newton for their final conference meet of the year,” he said.
