Oskaloosa JV Girls Golf Teams Shine at Edmundson Golf Course

Oskaloosa, IA – May 1, 2024—The Oskaloosa Junior Varsity girls’ golf teams delivered strong performances at Edmundson Golf Course during yesterday’s tournament. The first team finished with a score of 470, while the second team wrapped up their round with a 505, placing the teams 4th and 6th out of the eight teams that competed.

A highlight of the day was Ireland McGraw’s personal best of the season, a 115. She led the team with powerful drives and consistent play throughout the round. Six Oskaloosa players shot under 120, demonstrating the JV squad’s growing skill and consistency.

Head Coach Cory Sheesley noted the teams’ performances and praised their achievements, saying, “The teams played well with the 1st team shooting a 470 and the 2nd team shooting a 505. We placed 4th and 6th out of 8 teams. We had 6 girls shoot under 120 and were led by Ireland McGraw who shot a 115, which is her best of the season. She also hit some bomb drives as well yesterday!”
