Garigan Earns First League Honor of 2024

Oskaloosa–Eric Garigan (Grad., Tucson, Ariz., Master’s of Organizational Leadership) made sure that his teammates’ efforts were not in vain, and for that he earned Heart of America Athletic Conference Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week laurels Monday.

Garigan collected the second weekly award of his career (first this season) after helping William Penn roll past Ottawa (Kan.) 22-6 last Saturday.

The graduate student stopped 14 of the 20 shots on goal in which he faced. In total, the Braves only attempted 33 shots in the Statesmen victory.

For the year, Garigan is 6-1 with a 6.65 Goals Against Average. He has recorded 64 saves for a 59.8% save percentage.

The award is the second of the year for WPU.
