Putzier Named NAIA Offensive POW

Oskaloosa–Breck Putzier (Jr., Minneapolis, Minn., Exercise Science) produced big numbers twice and his efforts earned him NAIA Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week laurels Tuesday.

The national award is the second in Putzier’s career (once lauded in 2022).

The junior, who paced William Penn to a pair of non-conference wins, managed six goals and two assists against Missouri Baptist last Thursday. The following day, Putzier broke his personal goals mark with seven in addition to four assists for an 11-point performance versus Taylor. It is the fourth time in his career that he has eclipsed double figures in points.

The attacker, who tallied 32 total shots (21 on goal) last week, also notched 10 ground balls.

For the season, Putzier has scored 24 goals with 25 assists, along with 18 ground balls and five caused turnovers.

The award is the first for William Penn this year.
