Third National POW for Krause

Oskaloosa–Landon Krause (Sr., Appleton, Wis., Business Management) was everywhere defensively, and for his efforts he was named NAIA Men’s Volleyball Defender of the Week Tuesday.

The senior’s national award is the third of his career and the second as a Defender (one in 2022).

Krause tallied 41 digs (2.93 per set) and 20 blocks (1.43 per set) last week, tying for tops at WPU in digs and finishing second in blocks. He recorded a week-high 14 digs against Missouri Baptist last Friday and had a week-best eight block assists versus Morningside last Saturday.

The right-side hitter was also a dominating figure offensively, recording 54 kills (3.86 per set) on a .342 hitting clip. Overall, Krause managed three double-doubles (kills and digs).

For the year, Krause has tallied 180 kills (3.75 per set) with a .351 attack percentage. He has also recorded 14 aces, 94 digs (1.96 per set), and 51 blocks (3 solos, 48 assists, 1.06 per set). Of his 13 matches, he has notched four double-doubles.

The NAIA laurel is the first for William Penn this year.
