Oskaloosa Bowlers Compete At Home

The Oskaloosa boys and girls were in action at home against Pella Christian on Saturday the 20th and they both came away with the dominating wins over Pella Christian. The Osky Boys bowled a 3074 team series and Pella Christian had a 2134 team series. The Osky Girls bowled there best team series of the season with a 2483 and Pella Christian had a team series of 1434. The Boys improve to 6 and 2( 4-1 in the conference)on the season and the girls are 5 and 3(5-1 in the conference) on the season.

The Boys were led by Trey VanWyk who bowled a perfect game of 300 for his second game and ended up with a 547 2 game series( his high series for the season). Trey continues to improve and does a lot of extra practice on his own and it definitely is paying off for him on the lanes. Trey is Averaging 242.39 so far on the season( that is the best in the state). Cole VanderWal continues to improve in his first year of bowling and had his high 2 game series of 434 with games of 221 and 213. He also puts a lot of extra time on the lanes outside of practice.

The Osky Girls were led by Sidney Thompson with a 417 2 game series and games of 216 and 201. Sidney has become a very consistent bowler and is averaging 194.14 on the season and is looking at improving on last year’s state performance. Ava Ridenour had a 200 game and a 355 2 game series this week while Regan Abrahamson had a 182 game and a 312 2 game series.
