Bettie Arlene Gray, age 87, passed away on September 30, 2023, under hospice care in West Branch, Iowa. She was born on December 26,1935, the daughter of Charles and Vione (Greenhalgh) Dunsmoor.

Bettie graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1954. She went on to Bookkeeping Business College in San Diego, CA, and received her Associate degree in Accounting.

On September 8, 1956, Bettie was united in marriage to her husband Tony Gray in Honolulu, Hawaii. They were married 65 years until Tony passed away in 2021.

Following her education, she worked as a bookkeeper in California and in Oskaloosa until retirement.

Bettie loved to travel with her husband. Together they traveled full-time during retirement. She loved being with her family and extended family and being with her sister and her family. She enjoyed Suduko, game shows, crossword puzzles, reading, watching old films and listening to music.

Bettie is survived by her four children: Tony Gray II, Teresa (& Mark) Fiala, Tammie Gray and Tanya Gray; Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceeded in death by her husband, Tony; her parents, Charles and Vione Dunsmoor; and her sister, Barbara Moffet.

Bettie’s wish was a private family burial at Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Welcome Home Soldier Monument in Albia, Iowa.
