Kathleen Ann McDonald, age 78, of rural Oskaloosa passed away on September 8, 2023. She was born July 2nd, 1945 to her parents, Myron Flander and Bernice Flander/Grey.

Kathy grew up a farm girl in every way. She loved being outside gardening, planting trees and flowers. She loved mowing the grass and keeping a tidy landscape. She also loved animals as well, horses, chickens, dogs, and birds.

Kathy loved spending time with her family and friends, having fun and making good memories. She was always smiling and loved to make others smile. She will be missed greatly.

Kathy is survived by a son, Randy Flander; a daughter Kelly Grindley; 3 grandchildren: Shawn Spragno, Cassandra McDonald and Austin Gridley; a great- granddaughter, Alli Ollom; and 2 brothers, Jerry Garberor and Mike Flander.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, Myron Flander and Bernice Flander/Grey.

A graveside service with burial will take place Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 1:00 pm at the Beacon cemetery in Beacon, Iowa.
