Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity) Loses Despite OutHitting Knoxville

Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity) fell 5-2 to Knoxville on Saturday despite out-hitting them five to three.
A single by Linus Morrison put Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity) on the board in the top of the first.
Knoxville tied the game in the bottom of the second thanks to an error, and a single by Trey Wight.
Knoxville took the lead in the bottom of the third. Hayden Hatch drew a walk, scoring one run, to give Knoxville the advantage, 4-2.
Jaden DeRonde pitched three and two-thirds innings in relief for Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity). The reliever allowed zero hits and one run (zero earned) while, striking out three and walking four. Morrison took the loss for Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity). They went two innings, surrendering four runs (two earned) on three hits, striking out one and walking three. Beau Leisure stepped on the hill first for Knoxville. They surrendered five hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out 14 and walking one.
Morrison provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity) with two runs batted in. They went 1-for-1 on the day.
Leisure, Trenton Kingery, and Wight each collected one hit for Knoxville. Wight and Dakota Ramsey each drove in one run for Knoxville. Ramsey led Knoxville with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating eight walks for the game. Knoxville were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Hatch had the most chances in the field with 14.
