OHS Girls Track In Action At Pella

The Oskaloosa girls track and field team was back in action at the Pella Dutch Co-ed meet on Monday night. The team came home with a third place team finish and 6 first place finishes on the night.
Individual champions were: Maleah Walker doubled in the long jump and the 100 meter dash, Evelyn Adam out leaned a girl to win the 400 meter hurdles and Tierney Carter won the 1500 meter run. Relay champions included: the distance medley relay of Hannah Quang, Maleah Walker, Ryleigh Wilken and Evelyn Adam. And the 4×400 of Ryleigh Wilken, Hannah Quang, Evelyn Adam and Tierney Carter.

Maleah Walker jumped 17-5.5 to win the long jump at Pella on Monday night.

There were two personal records set on the night: Evelyn Adam in the 400 meter hurdles and Tierney Carter in the 1500 m run.

The District track and field meet will take place on Thursday back at Pella. Field events start at 4:00 with running events starting at 4:30. Teams at the meet include: Bondurant-Farrar, Grinnell, Knoxville, Newton, Oskaloosa, Pella, Saydel, South Tama
